What You'll Do
Lead iOS Development: Lead development of new iOS features and even entire apps from the ground up, turning ideas into polished products. Own the app architecture and drive performance optimizations to keep our codebases clean, scalable, and lightning-fast.
API & Backend Integration: Integrate third-party APIs and webhooks cleanly and reliably, connecting our apps with external services without missing a beat. Manage Firebase/GCP integrations, maintaining secure and efficient connections to Realtime DB, Firestore, Auth, Cloud Messaging, etc., for a seamless backend/frontend experience.
Collaboration & Code Quality: Collaborate closely with designers, product owners, and other engineers — both asynchronously and in real-time — to iterate on features and ship improvements quickly. Conduct code reviews and champion best practices, continually improving our processes and setting technical direction to raise the bar for the team.
Requirements
3+ years of professional iOS development experience, with a track record of shipping high-quality apps to real users.
Strong command of SwiftUI and core iOS frameworks (Swift, UIKit, etc.), and the ability to build beautiful, responsive UIs.
Hands-on experience with Firebase & GCP – you're familiar with Realtime Database, Firestore, Auth, Cloud Messaging, and can integrate cloud services and external APIs/webhooks without breaking a sweat.
Solid architectural instincts – ability to design maintainable, scalable codebases and make smart trade-offs to keep projects lean and stable as they grow.
Experience delivering user-centric apps – you have built or contributed significantly to iOS apps used by a significant number of users, and you understand the importance of feedback and iteration.
Excellent communication skills in English – especially in writing. You can collaborate asynchronously, articulate technical ideas clearly, and thrive in a remote, written communication-friendly environment.
Self-driven & remote-ready mindset – comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote setting. You manage your time well, take initiative, and stay aligned with product goals without hand-holding.
